DYS Announces March Virtual Mentoring Session

The City of Birmingham Mayor’s Office Division of Youth Services (DYS) will host the next Elevate YOUth mentoring session next Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 4 p.m. via Zoom.

Elevate YOUth mentoring initiative aims to help young people excel to the next level of professional, personal, and character development. The March Zoom meeting will highlight some amazing young women as part of National Women’s History Month and a special interview with this year’s state 5A Women’s Basketball Champs, the Carver High School Lady Rams!

The virtual mentoring initiative serves boys and girls ages 8 – 17 years old.  The program is designed to provide and equip Birmingham’s youth with the necessary tools to become the leaders of tomorrow.  The program’s virtual curriculum will focus on topics centered around 21st-century skills.
