Nearly one in five students in an average classroom is experiencing bullying in some way.

The rest of the students, called bystanders, are also affected by the bullying?

The City of Birmingham Mayor’s Office Division of Youth Services (DYS) continues its efforts to take “u” out of bullying during National Bullying Prevention Month in October with its KNOWBULL TOUR.

Presented by the Youth First 411 Crew, KNOWBULL visits schools, churches, and youth service organizations across the city with the single focus of combating bullying in Birmingham.  The 411 Crew, DYS’ traveling performance troupe, uses a “dramatic” approach to show youth how to apply positive choices to difficult situations. At each stop on the tour, attendees will be entertained, educated, and empowered on how to take “u” out of bullying.

The KNOWBULL team is now available for booking. Individuals interested in having their organization as a stop on the KNOWBULL tour should submit a booking request form.
